Linguini with Blue Crab and Shrimp

This recipe of Linguini with Blue Crab and Shrimp reminds me of a dish at the Olive Garden - the one with the linguini and shrimp, only here it’s with Crab and shrimp. What’s great about this crab recipe is that it’s very filling and also very tasty. Try baking some garlic bread for a side and serve with a glass of White Zinfandel :-)

Ingredients:

  • Box of linguini noodles
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 6 minced garlic cloves
  • dash of oregano
  • dash of rosemary
  • 3 medium tomatoes chopped
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 cup of dry white wine
  • 1/2 c. of parsley
  • 1/2 lb uncooked shrimp
  • 1/4 lb scallops
  • 1 can lump blue crab

Preparation:

Prepare the linguini noodles per the box directions. Drain and set aside.

Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet on medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Place the shrimp and scallops in the skillet and saute. Shrimp and scallops will become opaque when they are done - only about 4 minutes per side.

Next, add the wine and cook until the liquid begins to disappear. Then reduce the heat and add your rosemary and oregano, salt, pepper, tomatoes, and cooked crab. Serve hot!
